First, the use of hand-held laser rangefinder skills.
1. Set benchmarks and self-calibration.
The laser rangefinder can be set independently according to the front or back of the instrument, set the reference position before use, and use the self-calibration function for calibration.
2. Pythagorean measurement.
For some situations that cannot be measured directly, indirect measurement can be performed using the hook theorem built into the handheld laser rangefinder. Observe the target to construct a right-angled triangle, then measure the hypotenuse and right-angled sides according to the instructions on the instrument, and then automatically calculate the length or distance of the measured object.
3. Use the maximum/minimum measurement skillfully.
When measuring the distance between two walls, many people use a leveling bubble to level the rangefinder and then measure directly. In fact, for more accurate data, the minimum measurement function can be used. When the minimum measurement function is turned on, the instrument will perform continuous measurement. At this point, you only need to move the laser point up and down slightly, and the instrument will automatically record the minimum value during the measurement. When the measurement is stopped, the instrument will display the minimum value as the final measurement, so that the true distance between the two walls can be easily measured. The maximum value is similar to the minimum value, but the maximum value measurement is mainly used to measure the distance of the hypotenuse.
4. Use white paper to measure the highly reflective or highly penetrating target surface.
The ideal measuring reflective surface for a laser rangefinder is a white, hard, flat, diffusely reflective surface. If the measurement surface is too smooth, such as a mirror or smooth metal surface, the laser will be reflected, and the actual measurement result will be too large; if the measurement surface penetrates, if the transparent glass or liquid surface, the laser will penetrate and refract, and the actual measurement result will be smaller, Paste white paper on the target surface.
2. What are the precautions for using a laser rangefinder?
1. Pay attention to the positive and negative poles when installing the battery, and only use alkaline batteries.
2. Do not point the laser of the laser rangefinder directly at the sun when measuring. The eye or the eye is illuminated by a reflective surface (such as a mirror reflection).
3. Be sure to handle with care during use, and avoid placing it in places with excessive humidity, high temperature or direct sunlight.
4. The sun is too strong, the ambient temperature fluctuates too much, the reflection effect of the reflective surface is weak, the battery power is insufficient, and the measurement result has a large error. In this case, it is better to use a target reflector.
