The handheld laser rangefinder can measure distance, area, and volume. It is
an instrument that uses lasers to accurately measure the distance of the target.
It can be measured indoors and outdoors, and is often used in the field of
industrial surveying and mapping. It is not difficult to use a laser
rangefinder. The correct method of use is introduced below. You can also use
some skills when using it, such as Pythagorean measurement method and skillful
use of maximum/minimum measurement. When using the laser rangefinder, care
should be taken to handle it with care to avoid measuring strong light. Let's

1. How to use a handheld laser rangefinder
Laser rangefinders can be used to measure distances. They are widely used in the industrial field and can be used for industrial surveying and mapping. Most of the hand-held laser rangefinders are generally used. The following is the correct way to use it:
1. Battery installation/replacement
(1) Press the release button and push to the left to remove the rear cover.
(2) Open the battery compartment cover and install or replace the battery.
(3) When the battery power is too low, the screen will display a prompt signal, install the battery according to the correct polarity, and only use alkaline batteries.
(4) Insert the back cover along the groove until it is in place.
2. Turn on/off the rangefinder
Briefly press the red READ key and the lights, battery level and beep will be shown on the display until the first work order is given. The instrument will automatically shut down when no key is touched for 150 seconds.
3. Clear key (red OFF/CLEAR)
The clear key returns the instrument to normal mode, which means it will return to zero. The clear key can be used either before measurement/calculation or after measurement/calculation. In a function (area or volume), you can use the clear key to go back to the previous command and take a new measurement.
4. Set the measurement reference edge
Press the measurement reference selection key until the desired measurement reference edge appears. The setting of the measurement reference edge will not be changed until reset or power off. When the fixed baffle below the instrument is opened, the instrument can automatically identify the measurement reference edge and set the measurement reference edge to obtain the correct measurement value. Factory setting: The measurement reference edge is the trailing edge.
5. Measurement
(1) Single distance measurement: Press the READ key to turn on the laser beam, aim the instrument at the target to be measured, and press the READ key again, the measured distance data will be displayed on the display in the specified unit immediately.
(2) Minimum/Maximum measurement: This function can measure the minimum and maximum distance from a fixed point as the starting point, and measure the interval distance. Press and hold the READ key until you hear a beep, after which the instrument enters the continuous measurement mode, and then slowly sweeps the laser back and forth on the target for many times. Press the READ key again to terminate the continuous measurement mode, and the measured maximum or minimum distance will be displayed in the main display area on the screen.
6. Function
(1) Addition/Subtraction: Addition and subtraction of measurement values are performed: measurement +/- measurement +/- measurement +/- ... = result. The same method can be used to add and subtract areas and volumes.
(2) Area: Press the area/volume key once to measure the area. Take two necessary measurements and the corresponding results are displayed on the screen.
(3) Volume: Press the area/volume key twice to measure the volume, and the corresponding icon will be displayed on the display. Take the three necessary measurements and the corresponding results are displayed on the screen.
(4) Indirect measurement: The distance can be calculated by the Pythagorean law. This function is suitable for measuring directly or dangerous edges.
(5) Store constants: A commonly used value can be saved for easy recall. To measure the desired distance, press and hold the store key until you hear a beep, at which point the desired value is saved.
(6) Recall the constant: Press the save key to recall the constant, and the constant can be used for calculation at this time.
(7) Delay measurement: Press and hold the timing button, the corresponding time will flash on the screen, press the +/- button to adjust the required delay time, and then press the READ button, the countdown will start at this time, until the value after measurement will appear on the display.
